Thanks for the links guys.

I was just about to pull the trigger on a Black Ops until I read the report of it being loose. I might hang off and see the outcome of that first!

Cheers!

I doubt you'll have anyone on here gonna drop it for you :) Come back in a year and maybe one of us might drop it by accident and report back :)

I know we talked about "drop protection" with these cases, but do they offer more drop protection than an Incipio Feather? Or would they both be negligible protection, if anything.

Oh, I hope no one drops one! I just mean going off of feel. I've never felt either of the cases, so I was hoping someone who has can give me their best guess.

Just wanted to say thanks to everybody in this thread. I've enjoyed reading it so far. I bought a fake and it's in New York now! Hopefully hear by the end of the week, maybe early next week. =)

a little off subject here but has anyone used a leather hip holster with these i just really hate having my phone in my pocket any suggestions?

Does the blue and black ops ones look like the red one Pez has? Like the high quality look to the paint? Or does they have the matte quality like the white ones?

It appears to be high quality like his pics, however the plastic part does not have the "E" on them

----------

Ill post pictures up in a few.

It is most certainly fixable with some thicker pieces or rubber/felt. After all, thats all that holds the phone in.

I'd be interested in checking the measurements of the various cases to see if the dimensions vary drastically from case to case... I'll bring it to work tomorrow and do some measurements.

Note: Ill post a short video showing the fit... I think it would be rather difficult to show how the case fits with an image. With a video you will be able to see how easily the case shifts on the phone.

To those of you have a case that is snug. When you try to wiggle the case on the phone (shift front to back, side to side) does it have any play?

I got my cases from the same seller, i don't have that wiggle in them, I cant say for the black ops as the screws are stripped and i'm waiting for a replacement which the seller (jacky) has already shipped. send a message and you can either get a refund or an exchange.

Hey guys,

New member here.

Been reading all through this thread about our friends in China making the knock off cases and I have convinced myself that my new 4S needs one.

I see a lot of reference to "Jacky" and "Simon" as being the "go to" sellers on AliExpress. Could someone please link me to their respective stores? There are plenty of sellers on there and I would like to find the ones you guys keep talking about.

Thank you very much, looking forward to chatting with you guys some more from now on.

Ta!

I ordered from Jacky Nie of GuangDong HuaQi Science Technology Co.,Ltd. There's also a Jacky Lin of XunJinDa Electronics Technology Co., Ltd.. Both stores seem to have good reviews and lots of transactions.

However, Jacky Lin of XJD told me he/she does not accept PayPal. Jacky Nie does and it says so in his/her payment information section at the bottom of product details section. So if you prefer to pay via PayPal, Jacky Nie is an option.

I've seen many people mention Simon but not sure if anyone received their orders from him yet.

I have an authentic Vapor Pro case on my phone for the past 5 months and it has been dropped on both carpet and concrete a couple times each. No damage to the phone and a tiny nick on the case from the last time I dropped it in my garage. I was kinda sceptical at first but I suppose they do offer decent protection. Fake will be similar I suppose. Hope that helps. :)

check out this site from someone who previous order the case from...

a similar site to aliexpress that offer the same protection, but including paypal.

The more I look at it, the more I find it more friendly in term of interface. Search for "vapor pro" and you get a lot of hit.

http://www.dhgate.com/

I might try them for future purchase.

I ordered the Vapor Pro Black Ops 2 days ago. I exchanged messages with Jacky Lin tonight and told him about a message on the forum regarding the loose fitting iPhone case. He said to use the crash pad. After a few more messages, I found out that the crash pads are included in the order and that is supposed to be all you need to get a snug fit.

I'm also waiting for reviews and pictures for those that ordered a white vapor pro from Simon tech

Yeah thats what I was told when I asked about my case being very loose. There are soft peices of rubber that are already on the inside of the case, but there most certianly is no additional materal that comes with the case.

They offered to exchange mine for another, but I dont feel like shipping it back out, waiting a week, having them ship another and waiting another week. I added some felt to mine and it is good to go.

The 1st picture isn't from the iPhone... Don't be fooled.

For $25 it was totally worth the money. Without a doubt. I just put some felt where the stock foam was and it's tight as a drum now. But I am still interested to see what the seller has to say.

With that being said. Don't hesitate to scoop these cases up! They are well worth the money considering I am the only person (so far) to have any issue with these. Even though it was an issue, it was a simple fix.

my case from jacky nie was similar, no where near that loose as that though. i put on my invisible shield that goes around the antenna band and its perfect! im starting to feel like i wasted money on EMS shipping, everyones seems to be getting them around 10-12 days? mine took about 7 from payment to receipt. also, did anyone have to pay EXTRA to get the carbon fiber backing? i was told i had to pay $1.50 each even though it says i have the option to choose? didnt really matter too much but just wondering.
now if only i could find a way to get rid of my legit POS ar15-v...

That's good then. So we can chalk it up to a defective stock foam rather than a defective case.

I'm not sure about shipping times but I got shipping confirmation Monday and it's just now showing it showed up in HK. Hopefully it will be here by the end of next week. (using free shipping option)

Seems lke my order from Jacky Nie is taking longer then usual. I ordered On 10/17, and after days of no updates on tracking, a bunch of updates just came in and this is the last status, no idea what it means:

Yea, the second two pictures are a little grainy, but still look completely good. Enough to not want a cheap point and shoot.

The first pic looks like a Canon pic.

Thank you for the info, that makes me feel a lot more confident about ordering one!

Just had an online chat with Jacky and he apologized as my order is stuck in customs. They are going to resend my order, so the wait continues, ugh.

It's a combination of both... I think its more so the case than the stock foam. When looking at the face of the phone with the case on, there is a noticable gap on the left side (top near headphone port) where there is no gap on the right side (power button). This leads me to believe that the left part of the case (peice with RF insert) is slightly longer than the right side. This would result in the case not being tight.

With the case assembled, the left side (rf insert side) of the case opening measures about 0.5mm longer than the right side. It should be ~114.0mm opening top to bottom. 0.5mm might not seem like much, but it is enough to throw the case out of square and cause it not to fit.

You can kind of pick up on it in the attached photos. Sorry for the crappy pictures but all I have is my blackberry...

Its from a D90.

Been following this thread and am pretty confused by the TONS of links in here. Where would you guys say seems to be the best place to order these from? I'm looking for one that's anodized, rather than painted.

For those of you who received theirs via air mail (free option), did you have to sign for the delivery or did USPS leave it?
