That's the bright finish that should be on all the Silver cases. Too bad the copies are so inconsistent. If my Vapor Pro copy would have had that finish, I may have kept it.

Apple improved the antennas on the 4S so a Vapor 4 may work fine. I have seen other people report that the Vapor 4 works fine with the 4S.
For what it's worth, Element discontinued the Vapor 4 from their line. I would guess it was because of all the signal issues with the iPhone 4.

u know i really love how shiny the silver looks..

i was reviewing ada's ali express web page and

for some reason the "black gray" has more of a metallic sheen than the "black silveR"

maybe the reason why weve all been receiving a satin finish silver is because we didnt order the gray version? the gray version is the one that seems to have a metallic sheen finish
 
I ordered 3 vapor 4's from adi li for 19$ thanks to you guys. Got two silver and one pink one for the GF. How is the power button quality on the ones from adi li? And they are shipping it china post does it really take 18-40 days? Lol

The power button i have on my silver looks brand new, not sure if it is because it is a new product or not though.

the vapor 4 looks glossy, whilst the pro does not.

Pez555: how responsive is the lock screen button on both the vapor 4 and pro, it's tough to see in pictures searching on the web how far it protrudes once the phones actually in the cases

Yep its fine on both, bit more recessed on the 4. Cant go wrong with either though :)
 
I have also just purchased a vapor casing which I believe to be fake (the finishings on some of the sides are a tad rough). It fits fine, however, given the apparent cruddy quality of the screws, I do not expect it to last too long.

Nonetheless, does anyone know if the casing can damage or scratch my iphone 4s in any way? Also, exactly what sort of protection does it offer? I am not seeing any sort of padding barring 4 tiny rubber strips at the corners? :confused:

Forgive me if I sound quite ignorant. This is my first smartphone. I didn't really bother with a casing for my previous phone and pretty much just threw it around everywhere. :p
 
One thing I really don't like is the need to keep tightening the screws. Any ideas on what might fix it, or help.

There is s solution, but I wouldn't recommend you do it. These screws seem to strip easy so if it's too tight, you might end up having stripping them.

Proceed at your own risk...

You can apply a little bit of clear nail polish. Since these screws are tiny, I mean a LITTLE BIT. The nail polish trick is something that some of us snowboarders use on our binding screws. Those are big though so...
 
Have any of you guys ordered that Veyronx case on Ada Li's site? It's an original Chinese design. Obviously taking design cues from Vapor 4, but it attaches differently. They actually have nice colors. I'm tempted to get them. That green one would go very nicely with a Lucky Labs lime green wrap and logo.
 
Has anybody received an updated white vapor? Im itching to buy one if the new batched has been fixed.

It's still in good condition. I only used it for a week. The only wear it has is on the paint. The contours of the case have some paint wear on them. You really can't tell. I'll post some pics of it later when I'm off work. This paint wear actually occurred after a day in my pocket.

I'm only looking for $15 shipped.

Here's a picture of it from yesterday (it's been off my phone for past 4 days now). I'll take a better picture later tonight. The lighting sucks in this pic. I was trying to be all fancy with the X-Mas tree haha. All the cases you see there are for sale by the way.

Just include in the notes/comments section on your order what color combo you want. I also typically copy and paste that into the post-order notes as well, just so I get reassurance from the seller that he has seen my request.

Thats probably a good idea. We don't need any more threads on knockoffs, when there are existing threads anyway.
Sellers go through any lengths to push their products these days. Stick to the rules and you'll do just fine.
