Family Account to Master Query

Hi, can anyone help with this query?

I've looked through the forums but can't see a definitive answer on how to move a family member account to be a master account in its own right. And of course to keep the current master account as it is...

Current
Master Account 1 + 1 family

Desired
Master Account 1 + no family
New Master Account from previous family account.

Any ideas? My account is up for renewal in 2 weeks and I want to get this sorted beforehand as to not pay for my ex-wife's account anymore!
