can these be divied between friends or does it check to see if computers are on a simlair network?

would be lovely to only spend $40 for my cop of leopard.

also, what kind of student discounts can you recieve at an apple store friday night?

Physically you can, legally you cannot...

Just as there is nothing stopping you from using a single user copy of OS X and putting it on multiple systems. It is just breaking copyright law. The family DVD is just a way for the people who want to play by the rules, and there is nothing wrong with that, so they just don't get burned. I got the family DVD and it will go on my Macbook Pro, my wifes iMac and iBook. but without the family pack I would have bought one user license and install it on all the systems, Because the cost of 3 systems at $120 a piece $360 is a bit high
