But don't think you can just "get off" just like that. After the install Leopard "phones home" and gives the machine's identity to the Apple servers with its unique OS ID number. A family pack can give out five numbers and reports a new number every-time it contacts the server with the hardware/software id number. Torrent versions of the OS are modified so the "phone home" feature is disabled.

This is interesting ... Link?

he can't link it, because it's BS...

big deal... I'll pave the way for my fellow cheapskates and let you all know if the installation on multiple computers from a single pack works...

stay tuned!

We already know it will work. The point is that people like yourself who game Apple for not putting in draconian activation systems are going to force them to eventually do the kind of pain in the ass activation scheme that MS has been doing for years.

So... bravo for being the kind of dink that makes that sort of thing happen.

All to save $20, the cost of nachos and a few beers at your local Chipotle.

Yeah, not worth it. It's cheap enough already. But will people buy 1 version and install it on multiple computers? Yes. Will anyone care? No. Should anyone here care? No.

I like how people are so concerned for him.
