I know this topic has come up a lot in the past about changing the Apple ID from adult to child under Family Sharing. In Apple discussions, there was one specific post in 2014,
How To: Converting Adult accounts to Child accounts for Family Sharing
To summarize the post, changing the birthday of the child to 1/1/2001 changes the existing account from "adult" to child.
My question, does this trick still work in 2017? There were a lot of responses from users which the trick worked and some that didn't work. Some users tried to change some aspect of birthdate to get it to change from adult to child.
In my situation, I have 3 daughters, under the age of 14 years old. All three of them are listed as an "adult" and I want to change them to "child". I am not looking to delete anything, only to change their accounts. All of them have separate IDs with their own passwords.
I have not tried anything yet so I can't confirm that changing the birthdate changes the account from adult to child. I don't know if Apple has changed this policy or any restrictions.
