Family Sharing Bug

When trying to accept invitation for family sharing on my partner's device, it says that I need to add birthday to icloud account. I go to add the birthday, but when hit save I get an error message that "needs to be in format 1 or 0"

Anyone else get this? Where is another area I could add the birthday to get around this bug?

Update- solution

Was able to login to AppleID website and add birthday there, then it worked fine.
