Family sharing organizer notification

Hi all. I am new to Family Sharing. Right now my wife and I are setup on it with me as the organizer. Tonight, I received pop-up notifications asking me to Allow or Deny someone accessing my Apple ID from my hometown. We can't figure out why. She had done 2 things. Would either of these have triggered a notification to the organizer?

1) downloading the YouTube app
2) updating two previously installed apps
