If you want the unlimited data plan then you might be better off to get one now. However, this is just speculation on my part.

So I probably be better off moving to Verizon now instead of waiting for the new iPhone.

Yes, I also believe that Verizon will cease offering unlimited data plans fairly soon.

I've been with them and AT&T concurrently for over a decade. they're both fairly similar, yet Verizon tends to be a bit more expensive and proprietary.

If you're going to Verizon for an iPhone with unlimited data, I strongly advise you to do it now.

I'm grandfathered into unlimited data with AT&T and I make very good use of it. I could not get by on either of their new plans without going over.

well currently I am with att and have a iPhone 3g with unlimited data but need to switch due to bad coverage and by moving to Verizon I get a employee discount from my work.

Or you could do what was suggested above...buy a used Verizon smarthphone (Palm Pixi), start a new plan if you can, buy the unlimited plan for it, and when the iPhone 5 comes out, purchase it and get it under contract. That is my plan going forward. I hope it would work. Just an idea.

It's great to hear you're getting a discount.

I'm in a good AT&T coverage area, yet sadly my iPhone 4 still has a very poor phone.

I'm so eager for Apple to include a good phone, I hope they put one in the 5.

The reason I know it's the iPhone, is because I have an HTC Inspire and a Samsung Captivate on AT&T both of which make excellent calls.

I want a great, not just good, iPhone so much, I truly hope Apple gets the next one right.
