    Hey All,

So I've been a macbook and macbook pro user for years whos old Dell 2400 desktop (finally) went down after 9 years.

Anyway, couldn't wait to pick up the new iMac this June: 21-inch 2.5 i5 4GB with S.L. Also sprang for the 3-year AppleCare. Screen seems to be OK and speed is so much better.

My question relates to the fan adjustment threads I've seen here. If they tend to run hot (and maybe hotter when I upgrade to Lion?) I want to mod this thing to keep it safe, but will it affect or cancel my AppleCare service? In the car world if you start modifying things, the warranty goes in many cases. Same thing with Apples?

    Thanks,

    Turboguy

software fan adjustments should not interfere with any warranties.
