Hey guys my Macbook pro is almost brand new and it's not all the loud but my smc fan control menu bar is saying it's 183 degrees farenheit and around 4500 rpms. Should I Be concerned?:apple::apple::apple::apple::apple::apple::apple::apple::apple::apple::apple::apple::apple::apple::apple::apple::apple::apple:

Any other info? How are you using it? What programs were you running? Etc. Hard to say when half of your post is comprised of apples.

I haven't been using it like to the extreme. I edit and go online and check email and do lots of torrents on transmission and bitorrent but the fans havent started running this heavy until today.

SMC reset

Well, seeing as how the SMC controls the fans, why not try resetting it? Shut down the MacBook, disconnect all the power sources (the charger and the battery), hold down the power button for 5 seconds, Reconnect the power and cut it on.

Thanks! The SMC reset worked for me ... below is the link for those of you who don't know how to do this for newer models and the macbook air:
