fans @ 6200rpm...just safari open???

    is this normal...safari is the only thing open...my cpu temp is 72oc...and 6200rpm...

    kinda takes da piss...as the fans make more noise than the speakers playing my music.

    Something is obviously maxing your CPU. Open up the Process Monitor and see what the culprit is.

    If there's any Flash content in whatever Safari page you're viewing - it wouldn't suprise me. Apple & Adobe have failed to deliver an acceptable Flash implimentation and totally failed to produce a Shockwave implimentation since the Intel switch

    thanks for the heads up guys...

    just another quick question...i got 30gb in use on my hard drive...have no idea what it is...

    how do i find out whats taking up the space??

    What have you installed? Leopard will take a fair amount so will the complete iLife '08 suite.

    Have you got any movies or pictures that take a lot of room?

    Mine runs at 1799 RPMs......never that high unless watching a dvd :)
