FANS run wild?

I have a Power mac. G-5 silver tower and have cought it with the fans running at full speed, Side not open and it was just resting it will do it untell it turns off? Why? Can I fix this or whats up a Recall? 😕

1. Is Energy Saver performance set to High?
2. Is there a runaway process?
3. Open Activity Monitor and check for CPU usage.

Has it always done this or is it a recent thing? I know the G5's are notorius with those fans.
