I had the same, but after removing Fantastical in the iPhone Watch app, then adding it back, it logged in past the spinning circle. I had already created a Flexibits account in the iPhone Fantastical app, which I think is needed for the Watch app.

I tried to uninstall and install numerous times, signed out from the account and signed in again and still have arrows spinning. Contacted support - waiting for their answer...

My main issue was with the app hanging on the iPad. iPhone worked ok, so I had created the account there hoping to fix the iPad. But I also took out the free trial subscription (and cancelled immediately so I don’t pay). After removing and installing the app for the watch, it went past the spinning circle and opened ok. So maybe it needs the account and a subscription active so the watch works?

i still have the same issue with fantastical not syncing to my apple watch. i reinstalled fantastical on my apple watch, rebooted both the watch and the iphone but still have the red spinning wheel when opening fantastical on my apple watch. :(

I installed Calendar 366. No subscription, looking similar, without all bells and whistles that I don't need. Neat Apple Watch app. Costs around 2 months of F3 subscription...

On Twitter Flexibits said they submitted the fix for Apple Watch app and they are aware of the problem... Still don't want to get back to them because of subscription...

Same problem here.

The upsetting part is that I paid quite a bit to use their apps across all of my platforms already and now what I paid for is gone. How is that okay with Apple's App Store?

If they wanted to go to a subscription method, fine, but do not delete the apps I paid for in full. Other developers have just created a new version of their app and left their old paid apps as "Classic" and left them unsupported (i.e. I use AltaMail and this is what they did and am fine with it).

For new users, the app is free with a subscription for premium features. However, existing users will get an upgrade version where they keep the functions they already had and paid for.

Are you sure? I paid for all the apps too. Just a few months ago. Mac, iPhone and iPad. Probably around $100. Mac and phone seem fine. They've just added the weather feature and a couple other things like they've said. However, the watch app said I needed to log into my Flexibits account. I didn't have one, so I had to make it.

Ended up with that red circle. Stayed that way for 5 minutes. Deleted the Watch app and reinstalled it. Same thing. 10 minutes later and it's still doing the same thing. Doesn't seem like I can use it on my watch at the moment.

Edit: 30 minutes later and the same issue

I am not ready to pay $40 a year for this supposed upgrade. The only way I could get the watch complication to work was to subscribe to the paid subscription (which is free for two weeks).
Have deleted the application on two phones iPad and MBP and will use an alternate app that the same functionality without the high yearly cost.

I must say that there is still no answer from them on my support case, in the meantime I deleted F2 and converted my family to Calendar 366 - great experience so far. Everything that is needed is there, family sharing works (this was huge step back with F3 and subscription), watch app works and looks clean and nice... No more looking back...

I have this issue too.

I'm sure it's just a bug that woudl be fixed with an update.

Fantastical has stated on Twitter, that there is a watch bug that they are pushing an update for asap. I don't know if this is the same one they were speaking of.

Watch app is working well for me. I am a ver 2 paid user using the 14 day free trial for ver 3.

Not working on my S5. Have created the login, uninstalled app from watch, and nothing. Very disappointed.
Might need to check out and move to Calandar 366.

Try reinstalling app on phone again and reboot both devices. Watch app is working for me on s5.

You agreed to the trial, correct? I wonder how that works as a paid user. Does that force you into the free zone that somebody who downloads it for the first time and subscribes for a trial would be in?

What happens when the trial ends? Do we keep our features we paid for?

Yes, I agreed to the trial. If you tap "start trial later", the watch app doesn't seem to work as it should, at least for me. The red arrow loop happened for me with the "start later option." If you cancel before the trail ends, you keep the features that you had previously with version 2, along with gaining a few new ones.

Since my purchases for Fantastical have thru Apple, there should be no problem with said company still being able to recognize me as a long time user etc.
