I think its time for iTunes to take it to the next level. I've drawn an analogy to fantasy football as a way to illustrate where things could go. Think "total experience" and you see what I mean. My vision for where to grow next is here:

    What do you think?

The "go to linear notes" would be a great feature to have in the future. Everything accessible in one, easy place.

The liner notes is something I REALLY want. They should take the digital booklet to the next level. You could click on the album art, and up pops the digital booklet, using some cool Core Animation stuff so you can flick through it like the real thing.

I can't see them linking to YouTube videos (more likely link to the music video on the Store). But I'd love to see them enhance it so I can link a music video to a song, instead of having it as a separate entry in the library. Each song with a video linked to it would have the music video icon on the right hand side. Double click on a song and it plays the normal MP3 audio, click on the music video icon and it plays the music video.

And lyrics aswell, definitely. I use a dashboard widget at the minute which is easy enough, but would be nice to have a good way to view them in iTunes (Getting info is not a good way, before anyone says :p)

Not a bad idea. what about those who imported their entire music collection and not purchased it off itunes...should/would they be able to 'fetch' that content?

I don't think they'll search on Youtube - the iTunes store maybe, but Apple and Google seem to have fallen out big style. Also isn't the "Get Info" command essentially your liner notes?
