Why don't people ever read FAQs?

What rhymes with 'orange'?

Anyone know a word that rhymes with 'month'?

Can someone give me a free iPod/Mini/Mac Mini/thingamajigger?

Coffee is blue?

There is no spoon?

What number comes after 'street-sign'?

What's your name?

Oh, and I think I know why nobody reads FAQs...

All I do is play PC games and read email should I switch to Mac?

I'm going to school for Video Editing how long will the G5 I buy be good for?

How future proof is PMac G5 PBook G4? If I'm spending $2500 I expect at least 10 years. Even though people who bought $6000 systems 6 years ago now use them for target practice at the skeet range.

Is this $500 dual 2.7 G5 deal legit?

Should I sell my 1.33Ghz PBook G4 for a 1.5Ghz G4? I'm looking for a speed increase to the 10th power.

The only way this would work is if it were an FAQ thread that no one but the moderators could edit. How else could you possibly maintain any sort of structure to the thread? You can't post immediately after the FAQ topic if you have a related question - it goes to the end of the pile.

Soon the FAQ thread becomes as disjointed as any other 4,000 post thread about the new iMacs or whatever.

But if only moderators could edit it, how do you add new FAQs or ask about an existing one? Oh, you start a new thread.

By the way, I'm hoping to get a new Powerbook next week at work, but I don't know if I should wait for the upgrade, and if so how big a deal it will be and if I should go 12" or 15". I have an external display to go with it, but I might also need a new one...
