35 some comments on this and 330 + comments on Jackson passing ... hrmmm I would have thought Farrah Fawcett dying would have generated more discussion. Goes to show the generation gap here. Well that and once more MJ takes the lead in press time.
People don't tend to talk so much about the good stuff after all.

Good point. No one stops to watch traffic flowing ... they stop to watch the crash. :(

The difference is that 13 year old boys whacked off to Farrah Fawcett, and Michael Jackson whacked off 13 year old boys. That's why the MJ thread has more posts ;)

Is Patrick Swayze next?

i would say so.. unless something else unexpected happens..

i think that this is also the reason that farrah's passing isn't recieving as much attention as michael's. farrah had been on a very slow path to her death. we knew it was coming and its been discussed here and there.. while michael's passing was a complete (somewhat) shock to everyone

This is the way I feel, Farrah deserves the spot light one last time after her passing, Jacko once again over shadows even in death.

i bet her family probably likes having her pass the same day as jackson because it takes some of the press off the family so the family can grieve privatly

RIP Farrah. You were a beautiful woman.

It's kind of funny to read the comments from people complaining of Michael Jackson's death eclipsing the news of Farrah's when the same can be said of Farrah's death eclipsing that of Ed McMahon's. It's the same thing, the bigger star is commanding the headlines.

It also doesn't help that Farrah's death was kind of expected while Michael's came out of nowhere.

Good point.

The same thought crossed my mind. A newspaper article I read earlier today referred to how the journalists covering Farrah's death responded "like meercats" when they learned of Michael Jackson's.

Cheers

I say good for her... let her rest in peace
Leave the circus for the freaks

Absolutely; I agree with you. Both are sad - in that any human death is sad, but Farrah lived with honour and died with dignity whereas MJ's life and death both run the risk of being transformed into a freak show.

Cheers and good luck

Run the risk?

WGN network is playing a Charlie's Angels marathon it appears. Strangely, I'm watching some episodes. Fairly terrible show but perhaps most were back then. Proof that I only watched this show growing up for the chicks.
