Finally there's an app that combines the joy of boobs with the joy of farting! No longer do you need to carry around separate apps for your boob- and farting-needs. Buy "Farting Boobs" now and become part of the exclusive group of gentlemen know as Boobfarters!

Sadly, I don't think we've quite touched bottom yet with the apps. But this is surely down there...

Wow, if this isn't rock bottom, I don't want to see what is. This is truly pathetic.

Hi there I'm the guy responsible for this abomination and this thread is really cracking me up. Not so much because of the extreme resentment towards my app as to my own judgement of what's funny.

The app was never meant to be anything but a spoof, kind of a worst-of-the-worst and I really thought the line "...combines the joy of boobs with the joy of farting!" would give it away. It all came about after I released Insulting Monk to (perhaps deservedly) universal indifference. I figured I'd have a look at what kind of apps that were popular and it seemed they were all either fart- or boob-apps. This kind of annoyed me as I figured Insulting Monk wasn't any worse than a lot of these big-selling apps. So I figured the worst, and therefore most commercially viable, app would be one that combined the two...

    Sorry if anyone was offended.

Apple needs to start drawing the line on some of these apps.

    two words: HOWARD STERN

that will get everyone riled up! that said, who cares, turn the radio off/ don't buy the app.... I love to listen to Howard Stern, but when he/they gets to "off base for my taste" I turn it off, everyone's tolerance is different, everyone has an opinion of "funny"......

OP i'm sure you won't take this personally, but I won't be purchasing your app, but that is me... it's not something i want (kids/nieces/nephews playing with my phone).... but i'm sure many will because THERE IS A MARKET FOR THIS...... if nobody buys his app he will use his knowledge and write a different app..... heck i wish i could put my app ideas into code and make money.... OP you looking for work?....LOL

OP and the rest of the developers, good luck.....

PS - Apple does not have to start drawing a line.... haven't they drawn many many lines already? (AND I'VE BEEN A REALISTIC APPLE FAN/USER and PURCHASER FOR 25 YEARS)

Remember when OS X used to be about quality and useful applications? Sure there were a few crappy projects, but nothing like we have now. These useless programs used to be endemic to Windows where any script kiddy without an imagination could code something up.

No offense taken, on my part. And none meant to you or your judgement.

Even back in the OS 6 days I remember there being plenty of pointless and silly little apps. It's just that there were a lot fewer Mac users then...

Use the accelerometer to make a beer pouring sound on tilt and you'll corner the bubba market.

But they didn't dominate the application market, nor were they marketed as much as these apps.

That's true to an extent - though it has to be said that the iPhone created a unique market to begin with. I just wanted to point out that the Mac OS was no stranger to the odd silly shareware app.

Won't be buying that, but I can see a few people downloading it.

Reviews? A lot of apps don't have reviews for a long time. It was an entire month after 'Ice Age' was released that the first review for it was put up here in Japan (and Ice Age is also popular here as well).

Guess the developer was more about making a statement with his sense of humor than making money, and I guess that's a good thing, he doesn't need to worry about pleasing the crowd. He can let his weird senses of humor and creativity run the show.
