So when is it rumored to be available?

Also how will this be done? Everywhere I’ve read says you need USB C. Will this be a firmware upgrade or an adapter to purchase?

Fast charging via cable is already available, you need the 29W MacBook USB-C charger and a USB-C to Lightning cable.

Fast wireless charging will be available at a later date via software update, it’ll increase it from 5w to 7.5w.
