I've installed Tiger and am enjoying the many features and improvements over Panther. However, it is running slower on my system (867 MHZ PB 12" with 640 MB RAM) than Panther had been.

One quirk (?) I've run into and haven't been able to figure out, involves the Fast Switcher feature. When I initially installed Tiger it was there up in the Finder Menu on the right side of the screen. But it has now disappeared. I can't figure out how or why it disappeared. Does anyone know where I turn it back on?? I've looked through all the preference panels with no luck. Thanks!

It seems to be a learning process: you might find it gets faster with a couple of restarts.

It's in System Prefs>Accounts>Password>Log-In Options, and check the box saying "Enable Fast User Switching".
