just opened up an eMac i bought for my parents on the Panther Night... (i'm "setting it up for them" before i take it back with me for the holidays...
) very cool machine, esp. considering the price. it's a wonderful deal, though i'm feeling the pain of 128 MB RAM. my 12" PB with 867 G4 but with 640 MB is kicking the eMac with 1 GHz... (no worries, i will be buying them a 512 MB stick in the near future.)
anyway, one thing i noticed about Panther's fast user switching... the gratuitous (IMO) cube rotating thing doesn't seem to work when the display resolutions of the users you are switching between aren't the same... for example, i have my account set at 1280 x 960 (i think) while my mom's account is set at 1024 x 768 (she needs bigger images), the "cube" doesn't show up when i switch. the desktop just goes away and comes back with the new desktop.
it's fine by me, but i just wanted to make sure i'm not the only one seeing this...
