Already available in iOS 11.2 beta 3. It's not a huge difference.

I'm wondering, when the phone is indeed fast charging, will there be some indicator for the user to know it's fast charging vs normal. I know the Galaxy S8 displays a fast charging message.

Fast Wireless charging is a joke. You want to charge fast, you will always need to plug it in.

Going to be a lot of disappointed people.

LOL, the Intel vs Qualcomm threads had me distracted. I'm gonna use my Kill A Watt meter to confirm this.

Not necessarily as long as they know wired charging > fast wireless > wireless

im Perfectly happy with wireless charging. Imo it is and was always meant for “spot” charging. Set it down on the same place on your desk al the time and grab it when you need it. My phone is in a bear constant state of charge rather than discharge. I haven’t plugged the phone in except when I apply an update because I haven’t needed to.

I haven’t done any objective tests in charge speed. I’m already on 11.2b3. Closest thing I could do is test my wife’s 8 but that wouldn’t really be a fair comparison. I don’t notice some immense difference though.
