New from Android and have 2 iPhone 12s they don't last us all day...

Will using a higher power adapter plugged in to a cheaper wireless charger (QI) or magsafe charge the phone faster or does something with in the phone or magsafe step down the watts back to 5, 10 or 15?

If you want the faster charging use a 20W (or higher) brick with USB-C to Lightning plugged into the phone.

Thank you but its for someone that has minimal finger strength so plugging in and out wont work.

Need wireless but YouTube shows the magsafe is a bust and takes forever to charge after spending $60!

That's why I am asking if a faster larger wall brick will increase the speed or does apple somehow slow it back down once charging? Don't want to waste more money on an adapter if its not going to help.

It is all controlled by the iOS software, maximum for Qi charging is 7.5w and Magsafe 15w regardless of what USB-C block you have connected to it.

Yea curious if anyone tested the max draw for the different 12 models. I know my 11PM was like 22-23W. But now I see what you are asking. I don't think the W of the charger will increase the max for the wireless chargers. And then you lose due to wireless being inefficient. The 22-23W on my 11PM is when it is lower on battery with a 30W Anker wall charger with the cord right into the iPhone
