I get email messages from Apple about new rentals, specials deals, and the like from the iTunes movie store. The one I just received — which is advertising a 99¢ rental of the recent Magnificent Seven movie — contains a curious bit of text at the end (my emphasis in bold):

Every week, our film-loving editors handpick a movie and make it available to rent for only 99¢. Don't miss out on the latest iTunes Movie of the Week: the action-packed western The Magnificent Seven, starring Denzel Washington and Chris Pratt. Rent it once and watch it across your devices with streaming that is now up to 3 times faster.

Streaming that is 3 times faster. Anyone have any ideas what this is all about?

Not sure, probably just some marketing thing, your actual speed depends on connection quality and your hardware specs.

Apple's probably wanting to say u don't have to rent in again from their servers.. still doesn't prove anything, since it still must be download from their servers to this other device.

I could understand saying that if you rent it once and stream it from your Mac to all other devices, but Apple woundn't go that far would they? ***
