Faster RAM for an older 2011 iMac?

Can I use DDR 1600 RAM even though Apple says the 2011 iMac should use DDR 1333? The reason is because the Crucial 1333 is out of stock at Newegg and they have the 1600 in stock. I don't care if it lowers the speed to 1333, I just care if it will be compatible.

If Crucial says it will work, then yes. You could check this on their web site. If not, then they may not support it if there's an issue.

Yes, you can DDR Ram with higher frequency is always compatible to lower frequencies.
