Looks like scrolling a long web page in Safari has just gotten better. After a few flicks, the travel will increase. It's somewhat similar to the Page Up/Down Key kicking into action.

Edit: It's a system-wide thing. Any app that has a long list will have it. Try it in Settings > General > About > Legal.

I'm glad to hear this.

I know about the short cut to jump to the top - touch the address bar - but is there a short cut to jump to the bottom of a page?

One more question, I'm not quite sure how to ask it - I don't have the right vocabulary for it so I hope you can understand what I mean. When you follow a link on a website to another website and then click back arrow to get back to the original website is there a way to have it go back to the spot you were at in the first website rather than reloading and sending you back to the top?

I've tried using the 'open in a new page' option and then just closing the second website. Sometimes my iPod Touch will re-display the first website in the same spot that I left it in and other times it will re-load and leave me back at the top of that original website.

I find that rather annoying. I want to go back to the original website and be taken to the same spot as when I left. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
