Anyways if they had traveled faster than the speed of light. Wouldn't they have traveled back in time and no one would have ever known? They would have just disappeared.

The Plot Thickens

In a subsequent news release, CERN announced that a 2nd equipment issue, an oscillator used for time-stamps, may have led to an overestimate of the time it took the Neutrinos to travel.

Hmmm.... time travel revealed, time travel taken away.... time travel possible again...

Does anyone else think this sounds suspiciously like a rift in space-time continuum?

I must say I was disappointed, I would have loved to have seen the panic, if all those educational books had to be rewritten.:D

Loose wire, don't people check these things.

Well, somebody is red faced...

pressrelease from the future?

Since the next round of tests, which includes testing for effects caused by this cable, is scheduled for May it's interesting to see somebody knows the results already:

The OPERA collaboration has informed its funding agencies and host laboratories that it has identified two possible effects that could have an influence on its neutrino timing measurement. These both require further tests with a short pulsed beam. [..] New measurements with short pulsed beams are scheduled for May. link

Did somebody build a neutrino-based telex?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

Or the illuminati continue their secret work and travelling through time...

... Did somebody build a neutrino-based telex?

Once the underground, heavy-water filled neutrino detector is completed and properly calibrated and the appropriate software application is installed, these days it's pretty much a matter of simply plugging in a supported USB printer and loading the proper printer driver. At least that's what that guy who was posting from the future on alt.conspiracy.black.helicopters claimed...

Mmmmm, feel, in the time-line, a shift, I do. :p

Let's hope that this time around they do a better screenplay for the book Timeline (2003). That movie sucked.

Wait a minute, what book, what movie??? :(

I missed the movie, but the book was, assuming certain quantum effects are indeed as speculated, quite believeable.

If 'the multiverse' allows for choosable time as well as choosable location it's conceivable to travel from Arizona now to 14th centrury Dordogne.. But, in the real world there are some problems, like the need for negative matter to form a wormhole..
