I can guarantee you that Apple and Google can serve out app downloads that max out a 10Mbps, or 100Mbps connection with no issue. For some large apps that are several hundred megs, to a few gigs, that would make a huge difference. For your average 10-25MB app, the difference would be negligible.

I agree, having the faster speed will make a noticeable difference. If it didn't then why would carriers spends millions to upgrade their network to LTE Advanced, etc. The servers that serve the apps\content can without a doubt saturate the connection, I have downloaded files at 330Mb/s from Apple, YouTube, Netflix, etc. from my home connection. My Cellphone Carrier also has fast speeds, and can download things extremely fast, which makes a noticeable difference.

Any of you in Orlando, FL? I've had AT&T since the iPhone 3G and when I first used LTE on an iPhone 5S I'd see in the 18-25mbps range. Traded up to an SE weeks ago and still have yet to break 15mbps in Orlando (usually average 8-11mbps)...and I don't mean standing in Disney World where there's a zillion people! Is AT&T's network in Orlando just that bad? I use the Mark The Spot app all the time to let them know when I lose data or it's slow but now change in years. Can I take an unlocked SE to any carrier?

I'm seeing 32Mbps down and 18Mbps up.

I'm also on ATT - kind of disheartening to see others with faster LTE speeds, but (not trying to sound like sour grapes), my usage habits probably won't take advantage of the faster speeds. (email, messenger, music)

On Vodafone UK using an iPhone 6s Plus and the max. I've seen is around 70 meg down and 20 up.

Waiting for them to roll out CA-hope it'll lead to faster speeds on par with EE

Telstra network in Brisbane Australia

Definitely jealous of these numbers! I'm on T-Mobile in NYC and only getting 12Mbps down and 18Mbps up.

This morning I ran a speedtest in Northern VA (USA) and experienced the fastest speed (on any carrier) I've ever seen (~120mbps) (picture below)

Who is your carrier / what is your location and what is the highest speed you have seen?

Wow, Im in Northwest District of Columbia and I thought 80Mbps was fast (AT&T 6S+ Max Up/down: 80.66/17.56).

And since I have excellent Comcast Blast at home.... I always use LTE.

Thank goodness for unlimited data... especially when Im not just streaming stuff at 10Mbps...

Holy smokes. I was surprised when I got 64Mbps down on my iPhone 5 a while back. But 100+ for a lot of you folks? That's crazy!

Best I've seen is about 40 down and 20 up. I don't understand this strange back and forth some are having over speeds though. 40 is plenty for now (I've streamed video just fine in as low as 5...). If that becomes a problem I go with someone who can offer better. I could have 200 down and wouldn't know until I manually decided to check, and that's the honest to god truth.

I get 8 Mbps down and about 5 up on cricket o_O still works ok for what I need though.

The best speed test in my history, from O'Hare; though I only switched to Verizon a few months ago, and Sprint's LTE was usually not too great.

This is the "fastest LTE" speed thread, if that's the fastest speed you've ever seen then you should change carriers lol

This was on T-Mobile. Crazy because the fastest I ever got on Wi-Fi was 65.04↓ 4.22↑.

Not that 4.22Mbps was the fastest upload speed I ever got on Wi-Fi. Just what I got with the fastest down.

That speed test was also taken on a 5s, which is limited to 100/50Mbps, so I probably would have gotten even faster speeds with an iPhone 6 or later.
