Fastest way to get iPod touch?

I want to get the iPod touch early, and in the past years was it faster to get it by the online Apple Store or Apple Retail Store and stores offline?

Then go on Thursday.. There aren't queues for new iPods like there are for new product launches for the iPhone/iPad etc.

Yeah store is probably the best place to get them. Just check everyday if you have a store that's quite local fo you or maybe phone them if you live quite far.

Got at least 3 stores (Best Buy, Future Shop, Apple Store, etc) within 10 minutes. But I will be just phoning them to see if it's in stock 😛
