Does anyone know if there is a faster way to passcode lock your iPhone than navigating all the way down into On, Home, Settings, General, ... Lock, Require ..., Immediately, Off (8 steps)?

If I have to leave my iPhone (about to jump into the swimming pool or something), I'd like to be able to lock it in as few steps as possible.

Uh, it doesn't take that long to lock it. maybe 15 seconds?

Also, why not just keep it locked.

Set it to immediately and when you press the sleep button, it will automatically lock, so when you slide to unlock it will ask for the passcode.

You only have to set the passcode once, and as long as you don't disable it, your iPhone should lock each time it's put in standby/sleep.

Am I reading your question right?
