I'm currently on day 4 of a fluid fast (non-caloric fluid intake only). And, I'm planning to extend this fast for a week to 2 weeks, if not longer.

Since I've never done this before, I have some questions for people who have done this kind of fasting before.

1 - How long did you fast ?
2 - What unpleasant symptoms did you experience during the fast ? (e.g. feeling cold, headaches, etc) And at what stage (how many days in) ?
3 - At the end of the fast, how did you re-introduce caloric intake ? Did you do it gradually ? Caloric liquids first ?

At some point, I will start eating again, and I am concerned about refeeding syndrome, which is a set of metabolic disturbances that can be serious. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Refeeding_syndrome

P.S. I know that there is a lot of literature about this online, and I have read quite a bit, but I am interested in the actual experiences of others.

Did it a lot of fasting when I was younger. Cleansing the system have huge benefits in various ways.
What worked for me, may not be for anyone else. So find out what you need about your body and mind. How it works for you. What you want to accomplish from it. Then google 🙂

Work way too hard these days to even consider it. The evolution of what we want changes, that simple.

I did it for health reasons and like @Lioness~ I work way too hard now to consider a longer fast. I will not give any advice since everyone's body is different and my body is different now.
