Just woke up this morning to this:

Seems my aftermarket FastMac 17" Macbook Pro battery has given up the ghost. I bought this exactly 1 year and 1 month ago. Absolutely shocking, it lasted less time than my official Apple Battery. Very dangerous imho!!

So word to the wise, don't buy these FastMac batteries!!

wow i feel sorry for you man, luckily noone got hurt...
how much did you pay for it?

I paid $116 to the UK (including p+p).

Yes I am luckily this wasn't more serious and didn't completely blow up, cause a fire or destroy my macbook pro!!
I have emailed them, though the battery is out of their 1 year warranty ( by 1 month!! ) and I'm not sure l'd even like another one of their batteries if this could happen again. Something is definitely wrong with these batteries as my last official Apple Battery from 3 years ago also exploded, this is what prompted me to buy a replacement from fastmac, though seems it has just happened again!! Very fishy :mad::confused:
