iPod touch Faulty 1g iPod touch

My son has a 1g iPod touch that is about 18 months old. He has started having problems charging and now tells me he has a problem with sound only coming out of 1 ear piece.

Anyone know if possible to repair or how much it would cost?

Did you check the headphones? Try another pair. Would not be worth repairing, IMO.
