I got the new AirPods (with wireless charging case) when they were released. Initially, the left AirPod would die a bit faster than the right one, but I thought it wasn’t a big issue. Than, one night, I left it on a wireless charger and, after 12 hours of charging, the case was at 49% and the left AirPod didn’t work anymore. I tried to charge with cable, it managed to charge the case, but the left AirPod still didn’t work. Of course, I tried to pair and repair and stuff. So I went to Apple store (cuz my MacBook Pro 2018 display broke the same day anyways) and they ordered a replacement. Then, I opened the case (still the old one) and it was down to 20% from 100% without any usage.
Today I received my replacement of the left AirPod and new charging case, hopefully it will last more than 3 weeks this type.
I was curious if anyone has had issues with theirs new AirPods gen 2.

I’ve had mine since about a week after launch and no such issues. Hopefully just a one off defect. Time will tell! I’ve not seen a plethora of complaints about AirPod1 so imagine the 2s are pretty solid for about 2 years.

I ordered at launch and mine quit working too- just got my replacement on Friday - yes their is an issue - they asked me to send my bad pair back- two other people at work have had similar experience - the Apple service person on the phone told me there are issues with the new ipods - my new pair left ear did not work first few tries so I think I have another ****** pair

Had mine since launch, I leave my case on a wireless charger most of the day. Every morning recently, the left pod is below 5%! Going to contact Apple today about replacement
