‘Faulty’ Apple Silicone Magsafe Case?

Hi Everyone.

Recently went from the Apple clear case back to my genuine Apple bought silicone case for my 13 Pro Max.

For some reason it doesn’t charge wirelessly when the case is on. The phone ‘pings’ and shows as charging, but by the morning its not budged. It charges fully when out of the case.

My initial though was possibly something to do with the smart charging feature so i turned it off and it still the same. It’s the same with my work desktop charger too.

I’ve noticed when you remove and replace the case, i no longer get the MagSafe animation which used to work.

Anyone any ideas?

Maybe something happened to the ring inside the case like a scratch or tear.

Everything looks fine as far as i can see. The only thing that's happened to it is that it was put away in its it box for 6 months.

But magnets still work? Especially the one on the bottom which positions the coil
