Hello, I just got my new MBP yesterday!
However, it's pretty much useless. Every time I start it up, I get an error message saying "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the Power button until it turns off, then press the Power button again."

Does anyone know if there's anything to do about this? To call me frustrated would be quite an understatement.

Thank you

p.s. I am writing this from my iPhone, my mac won't stay on for long enough to post a message.

EDIT: I can't take it to my local apple store, we don't have those in Denmark

Replace it. You have 14 days.

Is that the sort of grey/black/white message in many languages? If so, that's a kernel panic. While you could try to figure out what's causing it, in a brand new machine, I think I would probably just take it back to Apple.

That said, I'm not expert enough to think you should trust only my opinion. But add it into what others say :)

Sorry you are having trouble with your brand new computer :( That takes some of the fun out of it. But I am sure Apple will fix you up. And too, you should have a 14-day return policy for any reason (at least we do in the US).

Edit: Oh ack, I didn't realize you were in Denmark, and I just saw you don't have Apple Stores there. So I'm not sure what to advise.

Miss Terri

This is my second mac, and something similar happened to my first one too.
Here's an example (and yes, it's white/grey/black and in many languages:

Just finished talking to apple for the fourth time today, I'm returning it.
