Have you tried charging with it turned on? Does it charge while turned on?

Thanks for your reply! Yes the phone turns on automatically when I put the charger in but I’m not sure if this is normal? The old iPhone which I had never did this ( would just come up with a charge symbol) so just wanted to make sure it’s not faulty

I just shut down my X and plugged it into the charger and it turned the device back on just like all iPhones and iPads that I have owned. Are you on the latest iOS?

Ah yes that’s what happens to mine, I guess my iPad Pro hasn’t been updated to the most recent ios and my previous iPhone was one of the first gens.
