faulty - monitor or graphics card?

This is what my monitor looks like when on this screen saver. As we all know this screen has a black background.

Right now when typing its more of a shade of red, as I can still see the screen, though very tiring.

What do you think is the monitor faulty or the graphics card?

Make sure the cables are plugged in firmly.

Plugged in very firmly, disconnected then reconnected everything, everythings firm and still red.

Do you have an alternate monitor/cable you can borrow from a buddy to test?

I've got two windows laptops though they both only have vga inputs. The laptop at work has a dvi, may have to take it home on monday.
