There have been a few bag topics lately so I thought it would be cool to share our favorite bags & manufacturers. I've owned over 75 computer bags since 2001 since I used to review bags for a popular computer magazine but it's always fun to find new stuff.

    Manufacturers: (in order of favorite)
    1. http://www.chromebagsstore.com/ (Hipster - Bicycle Bags)
    2. http://www.timbuk2.com/tb2/products/home (more messenger bags)
    3. http://www.goincase.com/ (simple but high quality and affordable bags)
    4. http://www.rickshawbags.com/ (messenger bags w/ laptop holders. Comfortable and eco-friendly)
    5. http://www.brenthaven.com/ (the standard Apple laptop bag. Best bags I've ever used and they last a decade easily without falling apart)

    Bags: (in order of favorite)
    1. http://www.chromebagsstore.com/bags/laptop-bags/soyuz.html (Chrome Laptop bag. Fits 13-15")
    2. http://www.timbuk2.com/tb2/products/laptop/grubstake-backpack (high quality and roomy)
    3. http://www.goincase.com/products/detail/CL55088 (fits 17" cloth interior keeps your MacBook scratch free)
    4. http://www.rickshawbags.com/#/products/med_commuter_messenger/solids_collection/ (15" only. high quality lasts a lifetime)
    5. http://www.brenthaven.com/catalog-prolite-iii-mac.html (can cause shoulder pain but it's amazing how much this bag can hold)
    6. http://www.booqbags.com/laptop-backpacks-laptop-bags/13mb/Boa-3M (stylish and holds everything

So yeah those are my favorites and I'm probably using one of each of them a few days out of the month depending on what I'm carrying. What are your favorite all-time computer bags?

The Isis Dei sleeves and bags look nice. I havent seen one in person though.
Has anyone used any of the hemp ones?
Or does any one know if the 'Dei Tripper' bag that is rated for the 15" MBP, will fit the 17"? Even though it may be a little tight?

hi. I just registered to this site so that I could ask you... Could you tell me a little bit about your impressions with the Chrome Soyuz. There aren't many reviews out there and those I read sounded like someone paid the editor. Is the laptop compartment really water-resistant? What about the front pockets? Do the Velcro strips wear out? And finally, is the red color version to aggressively bright?! Thank you very much in advance

I hated chrome bags forever, because I was convinced they were just for hipsters.

But I gave in, and loooove it.

I've always bought Crumpler bags. I've owned four now in different sizes. I've still got all of them and they look just as good as the day I bought them. Can't say that about many bags can you.
