What is your favorite brand of monitors? These could be CRT or LCD, etc.

I love apple monitors becuase they are so crisp and easy to read. They are stylish also. The only thing is, they are soo expensive.

Before someone else says it, Dell LCDs...

There were a lot more no name companies that made CRTs... wait... CRT?
What was that again?
🙄

LCD: Viewsonic. 37" HDTV works great as a monitor. I guess their dedicated computer monitors would be just as good.

CRT: There are branded CRTs? All my CRTs have come bundled with PCs.

I've liked the Viewsonic and Samsung LCDs I've used in the past. I think Sonys have a nice picture as well, but nothing compares to Apple's LCDs, IMO.

LCD - Samsung, Apple, DELL.

CRT - I loved Apples' Studio Monitors. If I still had an ADC Mac, I would buy a used couple of the last generation, easy.

Best LCD ever owned was made by Real...had vga, rca, s-video, and rg-75 inputs. I've had this one for 8 months and never encountered a single problem, excellent for gaming...used it when playing World of Warcraft and Doom 3, now I'm using it as a television. The display stand folds in and out to support any mounting option and can be opened completely if you want it to stand alone. I paid 120 for it brand new!

Best CRT monitor was a viewsonic, only problem I ever had was with screen alignment...for some reason my video card always displayed the image a little off center and I'd have to adjust it with every restart. That being said, I could probably chalk it up to nvidia settings.

I don't really like LCDs that much.

I like Sony CRTs...unfortunately they don't make them anymore. No one else ever made as good of an aperture grille tube as the Trinitron line.

personally, i'm a big fan of sony. i use an sdm-x72 (17" dvi 1280x1024) for desktop stuff and i also have a 40" bravia xbr lcd flat panel hdtv with computer inputs that i'll occasionally hook my powerbook up to... (bluetooth mouse and keyboard come in handy). picture is quite crisp and colors are rich. i prefer sony for lcds over dell.
