Just press the little I in the lower right corner. Type in kristiansand and press enter, and the widget confirms with Kristiansand, Norway. Change from Fahrenheit to Celsius. Press done (ikke noe problem ;)):

He He

I forgot to push enter.

I thought that the iComic one would be my favorite. But I don't like the comic it shows. I was hoping to be able to set it so that I could see a new Dilbert, Get Fuzzy, Tom Tomorrow cartoon every day.

The Weather widget is, by a narrow margin, my favorite - I have family living across the country, and a simple F12 press lets me know what the weather's like in six different areas. Cool beans, that.

Weather and Transmit are the only widgets I run more than one copy of.

Hey does anyone know if there is a Bejeweled game widget out there or if someone is making one. That would be so sweet. :D

Although my dashboard is configured with a bunch of widgets I need at a moment's notice, my favorites are:

1. NPR Radio
2. Clocks (need 'em all for scheduling meetings)
3. Day in History
4. Package Tracker

Dashboard is quickly moving beyond being gimmicky to being really wonderful.

i enjoy the weather widget (seems to be a trend here) and the baseball scoredboard widget.

i use the tv widget occasionaly, usually to find the baseball games that i keep tabs on with the widget mentioned above ;) :D

Since I have lots of exams coming up the new iCal Events (v2) widget is great for a quick summary of how long I have left to revise :( and the design is really good too, so it is definately my current favourite and most looked at.

definitely the most useful widget. I also use an uptime widget called "Show Off" (no idea why). Other than that, the currency (unit) converter and the dictionary a bit.

For usefulness, the weather, tv tuner, and iCal events widgets are the best for me. For entertainment, I like the dailytao and the sudoku math game. I typically have about 8-10 open at at time, including the itunes, address book, clock, calender, weather, and games.

The Album Art widget and the Battery Widget. Both of those are exactly the sort of thing Dashboard was designed for.

I like Slothcam. I have it point to this excellent set of live cameras: http://cams.camvista.com/oban.jpg to remind me of home when I'm away. Try it for a taste of the West coast of Scotland.

It got a bit quirky on me when I tried to populate the pop-up with favorite webcams - it would forget previous ones. Could do with some sort of bookmark system.

SysStat is also good for spotting a misbehaving app without opening activity monitor.

There is a google search widget - saves me opening safari and waiting for my homepage. (Safari seems to be a bit slow to let me type in the google box these days)

Sorry no liks - all these are from the apple widget site.

Is there a widget that would allow me to run an applescript from a button? I'd like to change my web proxy from there.

Living in Norway I cant get he weather to work.
The converter is useful.

The weather widget works when you're living in other countries as well. Including Norway! Just type your city, press ENTER and choose from the list. Or just type, for example, "Trondheim, Norway".

Hope that helps!

The FTP widget is my favourite one, I'm constantly uploading pictures to a forums and it saves me from having to go through the whole process in Fetch :)

Dunno if it's "my favorite", but I'm really digging Dashflix (a Netflix widget) and Countdown Calendar (looks better than the Countdown Widget IMO). I think the DailyTao widget is pretty interesting too. The widget that I find most useful so far is Stickies. I actually use Stickies occasionally in previous OS X versions. I like the Dashboard Stickies even more.

Daily Verse - My favorite self-updating internet widget.

searchSticks - My favorite non-self-updating widget.

Dictionary - My favorite non-internet related widget.

By far my favorite because it saves me money! HEHE!

:D Wow, that would've been great when I was driving constantly for work up in Detroit... Now I buy gas so rarely that it isn't such a pressing deal. That's a neat idea, and it seems perfect for a widget, to me. :)

It seems I'm getting gas at least twice a week now and it saves me at least $.10/gallon everytime I fill up. So at least $3.00 per week it saves me.
