The Irish Setter comes first for me. Labradors are a close second. I also like Golden Retrievers, Collies and German Shepherds. In fact, I like all dogs. 
PS: I thought Labradors are retrievers? I'm finding it a bit confusing that Labradors and Labrador retrievers are listed separately in the poll.

Labradors are short haired, Retrievers are long haired and they both shed all bloody year long!
This poll probably would have been better had you broken it down into "size of dog" (by weight) instead of bread. Then people could have specified which certain breed of dog they liked the best.
Anyway, I personally am fond of the terrier breed as a whole. My family has a westy (West Highland white terrier) that we love to death. I hope to get a scotty sometime this summer to keep me company. The thing i like about the westy is that they are about the perfect size. They are just big enough that you don't feel like your going to kill the dog if you accidently step on it and they are small enough to sit on your lap and not feel like you can't breath or there is no room left on the chair.

Labradors are short haired, Retrievers are long haired and they both shed all bloody year long!
Labrador and Labrador Retriever are the same animal.
There are then Flat Coated Retrievers (longer hair, lighter build).
Golden Retrievers (yellow, long hair, heavier build)
&
Curly Coat Retrievers (Curly hair, same build as Labrador)
Whilst the all may share a common ancestor they are all distinct breeds now.
All Labradors are Retrievers but not all Retrievers are Labradors.

Anyroad. I like little terrier style dogs. I grew up alongside 3 big dogs (including Alsatian) and they were a lot of hard work. Much prefer smaller dogs now. Our dog is a poodle/bedlington terrier cross and wouldn't swap her for the world.
My cousin has a Chihuahua, was cute for the first few days (just born) but it started to get really annoying. Never calmed down and would bite everyone, pee when excited. Urgh. You'd need a lot of energy to have one of them!

weimaraner is my first choice ...
my dad has one! they're GORGEOUS.
their eyes are just stunning.
my dad's dog has ICE green eyes.
on the list,Lab. in real life, Rhodesian Ridgeback.

My favorites are Akita, Greyhound, Doberman, Weimaraner, German Shepherd.
We always rescue strays from the humane society though; so I guess I'd have to say that mutts are my all time favs.
What about the other 300 or so breeds.I forgot, I'm a mod! There's now a German Shepherd selection too.
I have a blue Weim. He's a beast @ 85lbs. He's actually stronger than my first dog a 105lb Rottweiler.
