Gigantor.

He's mostly known as an anime robot but there was a live action movie made of him so he counts. I loved him as a child.

It may sound harsh, but I don't think we can class cyborgs - such as the Borg and the Cybermen - as robots. After all, we don't class Lee Major from The Six Million Dollar Man as a robot, do we?

Although he's not in any movies, I vote for Kryten 2X4B-523P. Any robot that can break it's original programming and grow beyond what it was designed for is tops in my book. I'd vote for Skynet except it's computer, not a robot.🙁

For movie robots, I guess I'll go with Voltron. "Form feet and legs..."😉

Pris from Blade Runner. Mmm, mmm, goodness. Just don't let her wrap her legs around your head. 😉

I'd have to say Iron Giant from the movie of the same name. Great movie and great character.

*edit*pilotError is on the same page

Sorry Cave Man, the replicants in Blade Runner aren't robots, they're organic: press materials from the film's release described them as "A genetically engineered creature composed entirely of organic substance".

Skin Jobs indeed 😉

On that note has anyone mentioned the Cylons (old and new versions)?
