Flipboard is the way to go. It is so incredibly fast from a user experience perspective and lets me skim content with great page layout and typography. It saves me a lot of time, as well as making the web reading experience beautiful, what more could you ask for?

I would gladly pay a subscription service for Flipboard.
 
I bought Reeder for iPad since I liked it on my iPhone, but I find the font too light and uncomfortable to read. (I'm a tad older than most users.)

I prefer the readability of River of News thought I'm still getting used to it.
 
I just got an iPad and got the Reeder app and Flipboard.

Overall I prefer Reeder, but do like how Flipboard includes the ability to view and add comments. I think this is something that Reeder should implement.

I had never heard of River of News but I will check it out.

I just looked at River of News. I really like the looks of that. For those who have it could you answer a few questions for me.
- Can you view items from people you follow?
- Can you share items to Google Reader?
- Can you view/add comments?
