I used to watch wrestling on a Saturday afternoon with my dad. Great fun. As well as Kendo I particularly remember Mick McManus.
They actually show the old ITV World of Sport Wrestling on one of the satellite telly channels – I watched a couple of shows a few months back and it was brilliant. Quality viewing.

In particular, I rather enjoyed seeing some of the UK wrestlers who are currently plying their trade over in the States – Dave Finlay and William Regal – as they were back in the early 80s, wrestling in such exotic and glamorous locations as Wolverhampton Civic Hall and Bridlington Spa.

I would say the Ultimate Warrior was my favorite, Hulk Hogan was a very close second. ult_war.jpg

The UW was HUGE! Not only was he definitely on something he was extremely popular with kids and adults alike.

But he was insane too. At least I think he was. He just babbled and tried to come off as a genius or something. I've read some of his writings after wrestling and they were incomprehensible.

Could have been a hall-of-famer if he hadn't screwed Vince, not once, but twice! :D
