I am sure other people have asked this, but how do I change all my favourite icons in the drop down box to the actual logos as opposed to some being the Safari icon with a gray background ? Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

    not understand

I don't understand what you seek to do. Try describing it another way, or show us a selection from a screen shot, so we can help you.

    perhaps a change of goals?

If this can be done in a reasonable way, which I doubt, each minor upgrade of Safari will probably cause it to revert to what you don't want. It will probably be less wear and tear on you to accept what it is doing.

Sorry this is not more directly helpful.

It takes a favicon from the site I think, no favicon, then you get the default Safari icon. You can't really add what isn't there and it isn't coded to make a minature of the web page as the Top Sites is...

Nope, favicons aren't high-res enough. Similarly to when you add a site to your iOS home screen it uses the page's Apple touch icon. If this is not present it will default to the icon the OP referred to, which actually seems to be colored depending on the site's favicon.

Cool but I guess the important thing is the OP is seeing a default because something doesn't exist...
