I'm another Mojito lover. I had a really good one a few weeks ago that used blueberry Bacardi rum...mmm.

Long Island Iced Teas are great too - how can you go wrong mixing 5 spirits (Bacardi, Vodka, Gin, Cointreau and Tequila if I remember correctly) a bit of coke/ginger ale and some lemon juice.

A nice simple one is Vanilla Absolut Vodka with cranberry juice (more of a mixer than a cocktail I suppose)

Then there are just the ones I make up when I'm bored - usually alcoholic versions of smoothies/milkshakes/frappes etc. which are usually a combination of ice, icecream, various spirits/liquers, milk/juice and occasionally some kind of fruit all thrown in a blender.

I am not an alcoholic...

normally beer, mixed with cold.
when i'm feeling rich, blackthorn or strongbow cider.
but today i've just been swigging back a mickey of fireball, eh.

If you like Dr. McGillicuddy's (which I do), you should try some Hot 100, Phillips cinnamon schnapps, what a kick. Maybe not summertime, but man it kept me warm while at the Carnival parade (-35ºC)

Mojitos are my favorite...I've had some good ones around here at local restaurants, one with fresh mango in it...mmmm

If I'm not being lazy...
Texas Bulldog - Kahlua, Milk, and a splash of Dr. Pepper over ice. (Add a splash of vodka if you like)

If I am being lazy...
Ice Cold Shiner Bock Beer

A friend of mine has an interesting theory about this. The more you drink, the more stupid brain cells you kill. The more stupid brain cells you kill, the more intelligent you become.

If only it were true... :D

"Well ya see, Norm, it's like this... A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.

"In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first.

"In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers."

Campari and Soda.
Pimm's Cup! Gotta buy me a bottle of Pimm's. The corner store up the street stocks it, conveniently enough. ;)
The usual Mojitos and margaritas and ice cold beers.

I recommend making Bushwackers sometime.... they're excellent.

Ice Cream
Ice Cubes
4 oz Cream of Coconut
2 oz Kahlua
1 oz Black Rum
1 oz Creme de Cacao (optional)
Blender

sooooooo good.

Too lazy to read through the thread so far, so forgive me for this post:

The Pearl Harbor:
- 1oc of Rum (151 preferred)
- 1oc of Vodka
- 2oc of Melon liquor

Place the above in a 16oc+ mug with ice. 32oc is better. :D Top off the mug with pineapple juice. Enjoy. :D

'the ridiculous cocktail'

1/2 oz. 151 Rum
1/2 oz. Malibu Rum (coconut)
1/2 oz. Rum

then fill the rest of the glass with ginger ale, tropicana twister (orange), plenty of ice and enjoy. :p

Strawberry Daiquiri.

That sounds like my favourite, although I haven't had one for ages.

Season independent: Good wine* and beer will do.

Otherwise I like GT (Saphire Blue, please), LIIT (Long Island Iced Tea), WLL (Wodka, Lime and Lemonade)... just bring it on.

* I think the list of my favourites is about 1 kilometer long (here some that spring to mind in a second or two):

- My dad's red one, not on sale :)
- All the stuff from my hometown in Germany I had at the picnic yesterday (I hope you guys enjoyed it)
- New Zealand stuff: Mainly Pinot Noirs
- - Hunter's
- - Herzog (try the Montepulciano, maybe my all time favourite)
- - Scott Allen
- - Cloudy Bay (before 2003)
- Italian reds
- - Montepulciano
- - Barolo
- - Chianti (try the Nippozano(?) Reserva)
- and whites: "Gavi di Gavi"
- And to name an "exotic" one: Chateau Musar, Lebanon ('95 is best)
