Faxing in Tiger

I'm running Tiger on an iMac G5.

Does anyone know anything about this OS and faxing?

Whenever I try to fax, it places the document on Hold for 5 minutes.

I can't understand why there's this delay. I just want the fax to go through immediately.

The scheduler is set to

Print Document - Now

so where does the 5 minute hold originate?
