FB app sounds how to turn off??

When my fb app is open when I get messages it makes an irritating sound, I've switched it off in settings there's a fb section I've turned the sound off there but it is still doing in.... I've deleted and reinstalled how do I stop the noise? Thanks

Notifications, under System Preferences, as with all other apps.

You turned it off in Notification Center in settings?

And under the FB app settings itself?

It happens to me, I might just be missing something obvious but I've had notification center sound alerts for FB off as well as disabling "Play Sound" in the app settings for Chat and Message Alerts and it disables the alert...unless I have headphones plugged in for music. It becomes quite irritating having that alert go off during a song 😕

You can't turn off in app sounds, I don't know why I put everything off and they are still beeping 😀

It's sooooo irritating why do people needs all these sounds and the Fb one is the worst
