FCE and Dolby Digital 5.1

Ouch!

It is a big leap in price from FCE to Final Cut Pro! Does FCE HD not support Dolby Digiital 5.1 either?
 
no, none of the versions of FCE support 5.1 sound... it only became available for FCP in the latest version, so it's still fairly new.
